Recommencing Apprentice Assistance Payment

Delivering vital support to cancelled apprentices.

To deliver much-needed support to out-of-trade apprentices re-entering their career, we announce the recommencement of the Apprentice Assistance Payment Trial – RAAPT.

About the program

Getting back on your feet and re-starting an apprenticeship can be tough.

To remove as many barriers as possible for out-of-trade apprentices who are re-starting their career, this vital payment-trial program seeks to help alleviate the financial burden of purchasing trade tools, uniforms and more to essentially ease the financial squeeze of becoming an apprentice again.

Who is it for?

This program is for Queensland-resident apprentices who have signed up to an approved Queensland training contract between April 1 and June 30, 2022.

Additional eligibility requirements include:

    A previously cancelled Australian Apprenticeship
(previous training contract evidence may be required)

Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
    (evidence may be required)

An employer workplace address in Queensland –
which is also reflected on the new apprenticeship training contract

Registration on the Trade Apprentices Out of Trade Register

Applicants may be required to provide quotes prior to funding being approved and/or evidence of their purchases once funding has been acquitted
