The Apprenticeship Reconnection Bursary Grant is an initiative administered by the Apprentice Employment Network (AEN) and funded on behalf of the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training (DESBT) to assist Queensland out of trade (OOT) apprentices become job-ready with the goal of assisting them to recommence in their trade.
Where approved, the purpose of the Grant is to provide further assistance aimed at providing Queensland OOT apprentices with the best chance of reconnecting with their apprenticeship.
Who is Eligible?
Applicants must be Queensland residents
Applicants must have had a previous Queensland Training Contract in an approved Apprenticeship that has been cancelled or suspended in accordance with the FET Act 2014.
Applicants must have registered their details on the Queensland Trade Apprentices website
Applicants must apply for the Grant via the online application form on the AEN website
Applicants must provide a written description of what support they require and how this support will be used to achieve an eligible apprenticeship recommencement outcome
Who is Not Eligible?
Overseas or interstate applicants
Individuals who are not eligible to commence an approved Australian Apprenticeship
Eligibility is subject to change as subject to other Queensland Government program priorities
