Jakob is a late stage Carpentry apprentice on the Gold Coast with a cancelled training contract.  Due to a recent relocation from Central Qld and some transport issues, Jakob is currently undertaking part time work with a local carpentry business on the coast.  His goal is to continue to improve his carpentry skills and gain more on-the-job competencies with the ultimate aim of recommencing his apprenticeship on a full-time basis in the new year. Jakob believes that the additional tools and PPE provided through the Reconnection Grant will go a long way to helping him achieve this.
